Where does Geoff teach?
Geoff teaches from his home drum studio, in Cheslyn Hay, near Walsall
and Cannock, West Midlands.
How do I book lessons?
Contact Geoff via the Contacts page to book lessons, normally a week’s
notice is required but Geoff will do his best to fit in all students.
Do I have to be a certain age to take lessons with
Geoff?
Yes, 10 years+
How often do I need to take lessons?
Lessons can be taken as frequently or infrequently as you want, most find
for the greatest improvements one lesson a week is ideal.
What facilities does Geoff have?
The home drum studio has two drum kits, one acoustic and one electric.
Geoff generally teaches on the electric kit and uses the acoustic kit
when specific skills or subtleties are required (i.e. for jazz etc). The
Studio has full recording/playback facilities.
Is Geoff CRB checked?
Yes, Geoff is fully CRB checked for the work he does in Schools.
Do I need to sit any exams?
No, Geoff can offer Trinity Guildhall or Rock School Grades if students
wish to follow this route, however exams are taken under the governing
bodies regulations at there chosen locations.
What equipment must I own to play?
You don’t need to bring any equipment with you, however It's recommend
that students to purchase a pair of sticks and a practice pad after the
first few lessons. Ideally students wishing to gain the greatest improvement
from lessons should own a drum kit to practice the new ideas and concepts
taught.
